Poutama: The Wellbeing Series for People in Prisons
Project
Poutama is an activity book that was initiated when regular prison programmes were shut down due to the COVID-19 lockdowns. Designed to support mental health and personal growth. It features puzzles, creative prompts, and information in English and Te Reo Māori.
Role
I worked within an established design system to layout the books and source the imagery. I handled the typesetting for the bilingual text, making sure the pages stayed clean, readable, and consistent across the whole series of activity books.
Outcome
I worked on the second series as it had been renewed due to it being so well received. Throughout working on this project we received really meaningful feedback about how much this publication meant to staff and people in prisons.

Coalesce: A Storytelling Network
Project
Coalesce was a storytelling network for the people of Aotearoa. It produced three podcasts and extensive digital media.
Role
Working on this project, I saw Unpack podcast through a rebrand, launched Coalesce: A Storytelling Network, created branding for two additional podcasts, managed social media accounts, and ensured that the overall art direction was cohesive. Plus, a whole lot of illustration for podcast tiles.
Outcome
Through this work, I took Coalesce from a collection of standalone digital media projects to a visually unified network. The comprehensive rebranding of Unpack directly supported its maturity into a major pop-culture and identity podcast. The creation of dedicated branding and custom illustrations for two new shows gave the network market credibility. This shared art direction gave Coalesce a polished, consistent look across social media and streaming platforms, creating a clear visual brand.
